Newborn Babywearing

Explore the wonderful world of babywearing in a small group setting in Sydney’s North Shore.

Designed especially for expectant parents, this warm and practical workshop is your gentle introduction to babywearing in the early weeks.

In this supportive, hands-on session, you'll:

  • Learn the benefits of babywearing for both baby and caregiver

  • Understand newborn positioning and babywearing safety essentials

  • Explore and feel different types of newborn-friendly carriers, including wraps, ring slings, and structured options

  • Get guidance on choosing a carrier that suits your body and lifestyle

  • Try on 1–2 carriers with personalised support

Whether you’re curious about babywearing, overwhelmed by carrier choices, or wanting to feel more confident and connected, this workshop will leave you feeling informed and empowered.

No experience needed. Babies, bumps, and partners are warmly welcome.

When: Sunday 3 August 2025 from 11am to 12:30pm

Where: Mount Kuring-Gai Community Centre, 5 Church Street, Mount Kuring-Gai

Cost: $25 - This is a low-cost workshop designed to make babywearing more accessible to all families, regardless of financial situation.

What to bring: If you have a stretchy wrap or carrier, please bring it along.

Note: Babies and children are absolutely welcome. There’s a small play area at the community centre, and we’ll aim to run the workshop outside so little ones can stay in view. Please just ensure your child is supervised during the session.
